I would be very excited to learn how to pole dance for my husband. I was wondering if you could give me some advice about where to look for instructions or lessons. I really don’t want to get into anything defiling, so just looking around on the internet with no guidance is sort of a scary thought.

Google Pole Dancing for Jesus and you will learn about Crystal Deans who used t be a stripper before coming to Christ. She teaches married Christian women in Texas to pole dance to Christian music so that would be a place to start. If your pastor or church friends happen to lay their coats on your bed and sees a pile in there, though, be ready for the third degree!
I think – I am not 100% sure, but I THINK – Flirty Girl Fitness may be a non-nude, no-porn resource. Maybe they have some videos on YouTube 🙂
Try some of the belly dancing schools. There’s one by me that also offers pole dancing and they keep their clothes on. If you’re near a big city you shouldn’t have a problem. Isn’t there a celebrity or two that has a video? I would recommend trying to find a class and not doing the video because you don’t want to get hurt.
Have you ever heard of Flirty Girl Fitness? (www.flirtygirlfitness.com) They offer classes in pole dancing as a fitness class/workout. The instructors/dancers exercise in workout/club wear. You can see samples of the DVDs on YouTube by typing in “Flirty Girl Fitness”.
Currently, they have actual Flirty Girl Fitness clubs you can visit in Toronto and Chicago. They also offer DVDs for home you can order – even the pole itself that you can set up in your home! Hope this helps. 🙂
